Herbens spillway - Saint Etienne France
Cut-off and thin grout wall
SLURRY WALL
Wall excavated with conventional plant using a cement-bentonite mix to ensure the stability of the trench during excavation. The mix is self-hardening after a few hours.
REINFORCED SLURRY WALL
Installation of H or I steel beams in fresh slurry turn the "flexible" slurry wall into a retaining wall.
THIN GROUT WALL
An H steel beam with high inertia is vibro-driven into the ground. After retrieval, the footprint is filled with grout. The H beam is moved to the centreline of the wall and the operation is repeated.
COMPOSITE WALL
Drainage and water-tightness improvement techniques can be combined using a draining material and a watertight membrane in the same trench.
